Do You Believe in Conspiracies?

Conspiracies abound – there is no doubt about it. The media propaganda delights in lampooning anyone who believes that men would conspire together to further their interest (at least men in government; everyone else is fair game). While I am very skeptical of anything coming from either the mainstream media, the pharma industry or government agencies, I don’t throw everything out either. Two examples come to mind – free energy inventions (including 100+ mpg carburetors) and the Apollo moon landing.

In the case of free energy inventions, when they clearly violate the known laws of physics, they must be viewed very skeptically. It doesn’t matter who believes in them, what fantastic story is told about how the auto manufacturers strong-armed them out of business (or the oil companies), or how realistic it appears, it is very, very, very likely to be a hoax. Human gullibility knows no bounds, nor does human ingenuity to fool and exploit it.

Houdini spent years debunking séances. James Randi does the same with charlatans today. By all means keep an open mind, but when something sounds to good to be true, it probably is.

In the case of the moon landing, just because the government does a great Keystone cops imitation everywhere you turn today, and NASA’s ineptness knows no bounds, that doesn’t mean the Apollo moon landing was a hoax.

Yes, going to the moon with 1960s technology was a great accomplishment. It was also one that cost a fortune. It is also amazing that NASA can’t do much of anything today. I think it is just part of our society’s corruption and decay.

Nevertheless, don’t believe these lunar landing hoax sites. Michio Kaku does a good job debunking some of these myths in his video, as well as this site. I remember getting to stay up to 1AM when I was a boy to watch the Apollo 11 landing. It was amazing, very real, and very poor video quality as would be expected at that time. I actually think it would have been impossible to fake these videos given the technology that existed at that time.

In summary, don’t waste your energies believing either the moon landing conspiracy or free energy suppression ones either. Instead, look into the more plausible ones such as the 911 events in which the propaganda fed to us would have you to believe the laws of physics were suspended that day (e.g. have you ever tried to melt steel in a smoldering fire?).
