We have all seen the flickering candles they sell in stores. In order to make this effect you had to use a microcontroller to make the flicker. Now you can get the effect built into this tiny 5mm LED. All you need to make your own flickering candles is to add a current limiting resistor and this LED. If you combine it with a 3v coin cell battery, you don’t even need the resistor – just tape it on the battery and make your own electronic birthday candles!
