Surface mount LEDs are needed for projects where space is at a premium. They are also useful for creating decorative displays where the LEDs are to be almost invisible until illuminated. We use these for our LumiDots.

While there are smaller SMD LEDs, we think the larger 1206 size fits most applications and is far easier to handle than the smaller sizes. We offer them in a wide variety of colors, including pink and violet.
